Definition of Sexual orientations-
Pansexual- The sexual attraction to people of all sexes and genders. Using these definitions, pansexuality is different in that it includes people who are intersex and/or fall outside the gender binary. Go Ask Alice! states that pansexuals can be attracted to cismen, ciswomen (meaning cisgender), “transmen, transwomen, intersex people, androgynous people, and everything else. It is generally considered a more inclusive term than bisexual”.
Panromantic- Attracted to all sexes in a romantic way, but not necessarily in a sexual way. Used byasexuals instead biromantic to disregard the idea that there are only two sexes.
“I don’t get it. Bretta is totally hot, and she’ll date anything, but she’s still a virgin.”
“That’s because she’s panromantic asexual.”
Omnisexual-Involving or characterized by a diverse sexual propensity.
Polyamorous-The term “polyamorous” can refer to the nature of a relationship at some point in time or to a philosophy
or relationship orientation (much like gender or sexual orientation). It is sometimes used as an umbrella term
that covers various forms of multiple relationships; polyamorous arrangements are varied, reflecting the choices and philosophies of the individuals involved. Polyamory is a less specific term than polygamy
, the practice or condition of having more than one spouse
. The majority of polygamous cultures are traditionally polygynous
, where one husband has multiple wives. Polyandrous
societies, in which one wife has multiple husbands, are less common but do exis.
Someone who enjoys behavior typically associated with dating and love, like cuddling, hugging, gift-giving, love notes, but probably not kissing, etc. and enjoys it with both genders, without necessarily desiring subsequent sexual experience. Biromantic people can be straight, bisexual, homosexual, or asexual.
Jane went out with a girl and bought her this beautiful bracelet. Then they cuddled and watched a movie at her apartment. They don’t make out or anything like that. They only desire physical relations with men. They must be biromantic and heterosexual instead of bisexual.
